I had a few brain buckets to whipp-out. One traditional style on a race helmet for a friend in AZ. The other is Zebra print scallops with pink, that one was for my buddy Brians girlfriend.

The pink helmet was hard to decide what to stripe because they requested "girly". When animal print came to mind, I thought of zebra and pink.Pretty "girly" if you ask me. I taped off the scallops and painted white with the black accents. Pretty easy? Nope, it took forever, but it was a simple stroke. My Brother Sean saw this helmet in my shop and thought i glued a thong to the back. He was right, and i was laughing. As for my friends girlfriend, she loves it, so it worked out... even though the thong wasn't planned.. haha

This is a very gorgeous Orange finish on an Asher S-Custom. Asher suggested an ivory stripe on this one and I made it happen. It looks sharp and traditional to the early hot rod style. While I worked, Asher re-strung my guitar and tuned her up.

The BIKER cover I was so very lucky to design will be on newstands come the 13th.The finished cover looks better than I thought it would. Thanks to my fine friends at Easyrider, they made sure to over-load me with copies, I will have plenty at the Dave Mann show. Come by and get a freebee.

Friday I traveled to San Diego to catch up with some close friends and get some signs done for them. The weather was just right. Saturday night we hit an art show at the Downtown TRIBAL shop, featuring Mr. Flako of SD, a tattooer and local representative of what we consider art. Finished out my weekend with my one and only as we headed home. Thanks to the homies in SD who keep calling me back for more, year after year.

I had the distinct pleasure of painting a sign for the folks of CRATE & Secret Service, in Los Angeles. In a very cool and very old Fire house located downtown, Chad and Samantha orchestrate their business in the clothing industry. A respected small business, CRATE, offers California original clothing and a taste of what the clothing industry has neglected since the early eras of American outfitting. Chad & Sam are two of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure working with. I look forward to helping them again in the future.

This is helmet I had painted recently for Greg(venicedevils) daughter. Cassandra. I received the helmet awhile back with no rush in mind. Well, I had the helmet longer than I wanted to keep it, so it received a little extra attention. Greg was still stokked and pleased with my Muerta'rita on the side.

Lil' Sleepy in Classic Trucks

This truck is owned by my homie Danny G, one of the Foundry Moto brothers. I painted this truck a few years back, right after Robby Fierra painted the flat and pears. Lil'Sleepy was an immediate vision of Danny's and came out exactly how he imagined. I loved this job because i had full artist advantage, in Dany's words, "just go crazy, Pacman, its your canvas". Those are my favorite jobs....

I read up on these guys in the LA Times. Cool band from the 60's who brought a surf-inspired electric guitar to Peruvian two-step beat... I typed "Los Destellos" into my Pandora and the station has been playing all day, I'm sold. Check'em out, if you dig surf guitar, you'll like these guys for sure. Also, look up "The Roots of Chicha", another great album with a compilation of the best 60's chicha surf-inspired style.

In Denver today helping the homies.... Z-Man of the Denver Evil Souls CC, passed away after a motorcycle accident Saturday. He lost control of his bike while taking a turn near the bronks stadium. 2 feet to one side and he would have suffered some broken bones or road rash. We all would have preferred it... We will miss him and never forget his humor and goofy smile!

This guy was my hero last night. I'm in SD for the weekend working and was finishing my Saturday night at a friends tattoo shop when this dude was getting inked. I guess he was cool when he came in but shorty after my friend Kenny started drilling, this dude took a beverage break at the trunk of his 51 Ford Shoebox and I guess it was a handle of gin, anyway he plastered himself and jumped back in the chair. He was out cold the whole time. When he woke up he was making noises like a porn star, it was pretty funny in a shop full of homeboys. He looked like DeNero in Taxi Driver.

Stageway Coach is the largest of the 61's. I found this Ad the other day and it sparked a memory. I lived in central Phoenix for a few years and drove my 61 to school and work all week. I saw one of these parked in a yard at a house just off the 17 freeway. i believe it was near Anthem. If you see it or have seen it, send pics... i know there are others out there.
